Today we took notes on DNA and watched "A Link for the Missing." HW: Read through the DNA reading that I handed out in class.

Today we held a class discussion about our "How Stuff Works Fingerprint Reading" and learned the different methods used to detect fingerprints at a crime scence. HW: Finish Fingerprint Reading II with questions.

Today we took a Unit 2 Test and started reading about our next unit on fingerprints/fingerprinting. HW: List and define any vocab you come across in your reading, and explain three important facts that you read about.

Today we worked in groups to classify substances as mixtures or compounds, took notes on chromatography, and introduced a chromotography lab that we will conduct on Monday. No HW

Today we went over "Detecting the Forgery" to see how well we could all identify forgeries of famous signatures. We completed a Chromotography Word Splash and learned how Chromotography can be used to analyze documents. No HW

We reviewed our handwriting analysis lab, learned other forms of document analysis, "watched" a video the Watergate Scandal (learning how document analysis is being used to solve the case, and started a "Forgery or No Forgery Activity." HW: Finish Forgery/No Forgery
